Beeline — Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 August 2026

Beeline compares the driving routes you save and tells you which one is fastest right now. This page explains exactly what the app stores, what it sends off your device, and who else can see it. It is written to be specific rather than comprehensive-sounding — if something isn't listed here, Beeline doesn't do it.

The short version

What stays on your device

Your location. Beeline asks for "Always" location access for one purpose: to notice when you have set off, so it can stop watching a trip you've already started. That location is read and used on the device. It is not uploaded, not logged, and not retained — no position history, no travel diary, nothing that reconstructs where you have been.

Your app settings, saved routes, and schedules are also kept on the device, and shared with Beeline's own Lock Screen widget through a private app group.

What is sent to the server

So that an alert can reach you when the app isn't open, Beeline registers with a server run by the developer. That registration contains:

This information is stored, keyed to the push token, so a scheduled job can check your routes at the right times and send an alert if traffic changes the answer.

What is never sent

Who else is involved

Beeline relies on three outside services, and only for the functions described:

If you tap a route to open it in Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze, that route's coordinates are handed to the app you chose, which then applies its own privacy policy rather than this one.

How long it is kept, and how to remove it

Route and schedule data is kept for as long as the app is registered, because it is what the alerts are computed from. Removing a commute in the app removes it from the server record the next time the app syncs.

Deleting the app stops any further alerts, but does not by itself erase the registration already stored. To have everything associated with your installation deleted, email the address below and it will be removed.

Children

Beeline is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
